NATURAL LIGHTING, STRUCTURE, AND PRIVATE VS. PUBLIC

  1. Hello Cindy,

As you already pointed out you miss labels on these diagrams too. So, go ahead and make your diagrams more explicit.

    Also a few more things:

    Natural Lighting:
    - I believe it is better to visualize the natural light insertion through sectional diagrams rather images. The images you are demonstrating do not describe the whole building and the overall design logic for natural lighting, they rather isolate specific moments.
    - It is very important to be consistent btw title and visualization. So you claim that you analyze NATURAL lighting but you are highlighting both natural and artificial. Since natural light is a very profound design operation and very important architectural element I think it deserves a diagram on its own. The artificial lighting does not define the DNA of a building as much. It is more related to the interior design and mood of the space. So, in that case photography could be used to convey the mood (as you have here).

    Layout:
I appreciate the consistency of your boards. Be careful with details such as overlay though. For example, on the board analyzing the Doppio hotel the title 'natural light' is hidden from the structure planar diagram. Although these type of points seems to be secondary are very crucial.
