Here is a progress work on my stairs. This is in replace of my previous enclosed central core. I decided to have the bridge concept to interact with my circulation and adding stairs to create that function. This is my idea of presenting the bridge to connect the Program building (left) to the Hotel Building (right).

ReplyDeleteCould you upload elaborated plans for the floors connected with bridges? It is very important to see how the bridges are a continuation of your program and how integrated they are with your interior spaces subdivision logic.
Plans of the whole complex (with all the three masses of your proposal and the bridges) will also help you understand if there is a reason for the three bridges to be positioned very close to each other and in the middle point of your volumes plus having a 90 degrees anglular relationship with them.
The planar and sectional sketches you uploaded on your previous post although helpful to understand your programmatic relationships they miss the very important connections (bridges) .You should work with all your elements simultaneously .
In massing it starts to create a very interesting layering effect through the visual corridor. Not too sure how it works for vertical circulation. Plas and the connections of the bridges are important.
